COUNTERFEIT DOLLARS
ISSUED* BY GERMANS IN BELGIUM (Recd. 9.5) New York, March 16 Germans in Belgium and France are countefeiting American dollarnotes and spreading them among the populace. This was revealed by Di Fletcher, of Brussels University, who has arrived from Lisbon. He said conditions in are extremely bad. Food is scarce unless money is available for “black" marketing, but, he added: "If you have money you can get anything from the Germans, food and passports and so forth. The counterfeit notes are so good a layman cannot tell good from bad. Many German officials are livi ing off their share of black market profits.
