PROFIT CONTROL
MOVE IN U.S. CONGRESS Washington. March 16. Friends of Labour in Congress indicated to-day that they have planned a tight for drastic limitation of profits on war contracts, to accompany any le isltilon which may limit rises in wages. Senators Hill and La Follette; leading supporters of Labour, expressed willingness to accept control of wages if it is accompanied by curbs on nrofits. but it is thought that an arbitrary ceiling over wages might disrupt the industrial machinery incalculably.
