APPEAL BOARD SITTING
IN WANGANUI TO-DAY Twenty-seven appeals have been se’ down for hearing before the No. 2 ! Armed Forces Appeal Board in Wani ganui to-day and to-morrow. The sitting will begin at 2.15 p.m. to-da\ and conclude to-morrow afternoon Four of the appeals for hearing today have been lodged on conscientious grounds. The No. 3 Armed Forces Appeal Board deals with all appeals lodges by. or on behaj_f of. reservists drawr in ballots for overseas service, and bx m r n called up in Territorial ballot who appeal on conscieniious grounds. Some of the appeals to he dealt with to-day have been lodged by married men drawn in the January ballot. Most appeals for the present. Wan ganui sitting are on grounds of pub lie interest or undue hardship principally on behalf of men engager in farming operations.
