FLOODED DANUBE
MANY PEOPLE STRANDED ’ (Recd. 7.30 p.m.) Sofia, March 14 Seven are dead and 12.000 were ; evacuated from the flooded Vidia. Efforts are going on to rescue 6000 who are stranded for days on the roof-tops in freezing weather. Ice blocks are hindering the rescuers. An official warning has been issued that the Danube is still rising at Lorn, ■ which is already under water.
