DEMONSTRATIONS AT RIO Rio de Janeiro, March 13 The anti-Axis demonstrations lasted until late at night. Special police platoons, with gas bombs and tommy guns, roped off all Axis nroperty and admonished the demonstrators to refrain from violence, but did not prevent vocal demonstrations.
