TWO SHIPS SUNK IN U.S.A. WATERS
New York, March 10. It is announced that the tanker Gulf Trade (6766 tins) was torpedoed by an enemy submarine off Barnegat Bay, New Jersey, 60 miles from New York. Sixteen survivers were.landed at New York, and 19 are missing. Havana reports that the tanker Hanseat (7932 tons) was torpedoed off Cape Maisi. All 39 members of the crew were rescued.
