WANGANUI STOCK SALE All classes of fat stock met a firmer market at. Freeman R. Jackson and Company's weekly stock sale yesterday. Ewes advanced 2s a head, with a rise of Is a head on wethers. Fat cattle were also better of sale than last week, being up 7s 6d a head. The store sheep sale was at a more consistent level than Jast week, with practically a total clearance. There was very little enquiry for store cattle, except well done rising 2-year run-bred heifers, which sold well. Pigs of all classes sold on a par with last week. There was a heavy yarding of vealers and well-finished sorts sold well, but hard done were easier.
