TRACK WORK IN VICTORIA (Recd. 6.55 p.m.) Melbourne, March 5. In final Cup trials at Caulfield, Renown finished well, doing nine furlongs in 1.59. Prairie Dale beat Elanage over a mile in 1.45. Similar and Sir Romeo did a mile comfortably in 1.47. Status Quo beat Elbe over nine furlongs in 1.583, the last six furlongs taking 1.17. At Mentone Heart’s Desire. Corridor and Velocitv did a sound mile in 1.48. At Flemington Togo did ten furlongs in 2.18. Hesione beat White Line in a brilliant four furlongs in 48sec. Baroda impressed bv doing four furlongs in 48isec. Mildura and Beaulivre did seven in 1.30 i. Skipton did a serviceable seven furlongs in 1.36 at Caulfield.
