GOOD VALUES FOR EWES WANGANUI STOCK SALE Reporting on their weekly Wanganui sale yesterday, freeman R. uackson and co., Ltd., state mat 55u0 sneep were yarued to a gooa attendance. Ewes had a better sale than last week, witn more competition ana practically a total clearance, witn tne exception ol an oad pen of rorwara lambs, which sold well, tne bulk or tne iambs were medium sores whicn were hard of sale. Trices were a little oelow last week, fawe lambs sold at late rates. !■ or the lew lots oi wethers offered, there was keen competition and tney sola well, rat sneep were firmer than last week. Fat cattle were slightly easier. Vealers sold at late rates. Pigs, porkers and baconers were firm and stores were a snade easier, with small weaners al low prices. Values were;— Sheep.—Fat wethers, 21s, 23s 4d; b.f., 19s 3d, 20s; tat ewes, 9s, 13s ba; light tat lambs, 16s, 18s; purebreu Romney ewes, two-tooths, 28s, 32s 6u; 5-year to 275; medium two-tooth ewes, 23s 6d, 255; small, 19s 3d, 21s 6d; four and six-tooth, 17s 7d, 25s 9a; m.a., 14s 3d, 17s 6d.; 4 and 5-year, Us 7d, 15s lOd; lull-mouth, 9s, Us; culls, os bd, 8s 6d; two-tooth wethers, 19s, 20s 8a; medium wether lambs, Ils 6d, 21s Id; culls, 4s, 8s 3d; fair ewe Jambs, to 20s 3d; small, 12s 6d, 15s 4d; forward b.f. lambs, to 17s 6d.
