PUKEKOHE PRODUCE PRICES

Pukekohe, March 2. While there is a good demand for Pukekohe onions very few are being released from growers and a position of stalemate seems to have arisen. The price nominally to-day was 13s, which is a rise of Is wince last Monday, but almost without exception growers now have the remaining supplies stored in sheds in good keeping condition and prefer to hold for the uwual off season advance in priefe rather than release at present. Pukekohe potatoes are nominally at 14s a cwt., which is a rise of 2s since last Monday, but very few are being dug at present, while also a good proportion of the yield of the crops that come to maturity from now on this season will be retained as autumn grown Pukekohe seed. Carrots were going away to-day at 10s a sugar bag, which compares with Ss a week ago. Cabbages remain at 6s 6d a chapman bag and swedes at 6s 6d a sugar bag. Some parsnips arc now coming forward from growers here and were bringing Us a sugar bag to-day. Red pumpkins we*i - e selling at 14s a cwt., which is a drop of 3s last Monday.
