"BOOP” BONNFR ON STAGE
MEMBER OF KIWI PARTY WAXGAM I BOV 4’ERSATILE ENTERTAINER. Only son of Captain D. Bonner and Mrs. Bonner, of Wanganui, Gunner D. G. (’•Tim”) Bonner is playing his jiart in the entertainment of the troops in the Middle East, where he is a popular and versatile member of that bright troupe, the Kiwi Entertainment Unit, formerly known as the Kiwi Partv. In charge of the unit is Lieut. F. E. McCallum, who will be rememi>.'.'-I a> manager of the Regent Th' , Wanganui, a couple of years a ?'. Mu> c-lu\< r> in New Zealand will i ‘member Lieut. McCallum for his work as p’ -idni “» Ur th.> Little Theatre Society for four and a-half
years, followed by executive positions with J. C. Williamson companies on Ihe stage, together with much experience in cinema work and broadcasting. ‘"Boop" Bonner, as young Bonner is known in the Kiwi party, has had a varied experience since he joined Ihe X.Z.E.F. as a gunner. In his solo items with the concert party he has made a reat "1 rsonatoi of juvenile and female stars, and so well does he act and so skilfully is he made up that it is hard for his audiences to believe that it is not a young lady who is entertaining them. He has also appeared in many sketches with other members of the party.
