Barw ick the New Zealland Gazette states. Privates J. Bourke and C- Prince were guests of Westmere residents at a recent gathering, when opportunity was taken to make a presentation to .hem. Roth men also received gifts from the W.D.F.U. For the residents. Mr. C. Corliss wished the men every success in the future. Mr. T. McCashin, Wanganui, is to report for duly at an R.N.Z.A.F. station in January. Ho is a Wanganu* Rugby represent alive and in senior club football played for the Marist Club. He has also represented Poverty Bay. In addition he has been a prominent runner with the Wanganui Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club. Mr. H. N. James, a member of the reporting staff of the Wanganui Herald, w ill enter camp next week for service with the Second N.Z.E.F. For many years he has been a keen member of the Wanganui Repertory Society, and has taken parts in several productions staged by the societ v. Constable E. F. Barr.-, clerk in the distiict. police oilice. Wanganui, has been transferred to Pahiatua- He has been stationed in Wanganui for three years. A former All Black, he piayed for the Marist Rugby Football Club's senior team and captained Wanganui in representative games. A keen oarsman. he represented the Union Boat Club at regattas. Mr. K. N. Grant. Wanganui, has been instructed to report for Second N.Z.E.F. service on Monday. He is a member of the Tech. Old Boy- Rugby football and cricket clubs. He played at full-back for Wanganui B representatives this year and scored the highest number of points in the senio’. competition. He has been chosen to practice for representative cricket matches during the Year period.
