IN HUNDREDTH YEAR
HASTINGS WOMANS DEATH. (Press Assn.) Hastings, Dec. 1. Another link with the past has been broken in the death in her hundredth year of Mrs. G. E. Lee, of Hastings. She was born in Stroud. England, in 1842, and was brought to New Zealand by her parents, arriving at Auckland by the ship Union in March. 1843. She therefore saw Auckland in its infancy, and was in the unique position of having been in New Zealand over 98 years. Her husband, who was a wellknown solicitor, died in 1920.
