ESTABLISHMENT AT ROTORUA RED (ROSS VOLI XTARV AIDS NEEDED FROM WANGANUI Il is expected that a soldiers' convalescent hospital will be opened in Rotorua in January and an. appeal is being made for about 36 voluntaryaids, 18 of them to be found by the Red Cross Society. In a circular to the various subcentres of the Red Cross Society in Wanganui. Mr. R. L. Garden, secretary of the Wanganui district committee. states that six aids are required from this district. Of the 36 required for the hospital nine will be required by January 4, the bulk of the remainder at the end of January and the others by end of February. Those who apply must pass a medical examination and will be appointed for a period of six months. The salary will be 30s a week and an allowance for uniform of £4. Rail fare to Rotorua will he found. No stipulation as to age has been made, but it is assured that the age will he the same as for those who are taking lhe Red Cross 60-hour training--from 18 to 40.
