TAIHAPE. The funeral of the late Mr. A. R. Munro was held at Taihape on Friday morning, the service at the graveside being conducted by Rev. E. T. King. The pall-bearers were Messrs. D. Scott, D. G. Gordon, E. C. Gibbs, S. Peed, H. A. Belk, John Law. A private interment took place. Mr. F. M. D. Hall, of Raetihi, who was injured in an accident at the Taihape railway station some time ago, is making excellent progress towards recovery at the Taihape Hospital. He Buffered a fractured pelvis when attempting to board a moving train. He is now reported to be "up and about.” A motion of sympathy with Mr. P. Munro on the death of his father, Mr. A. R. Munro, was passed at the annual meeting of the Otaihape Club. Mr. Ken Walker, who is an inmate of the Taihape hospital suffering from injuries received in a recent motor accident, is reported to be improving slowly. The condition of Mr. R. Pearce, who was involved in the same accident as Mr. Walker, is regarded as satisfactory. Reference to the death of Messrs. F. J. Hintz, T. C. Revell, and G. E. Anderson, was made by the president of the Otaihape Club, Mr. H. A. Belk, at the annual meeting. Mr. Belk said that the three deceased gentlemen mentioned were members of long standing and the cub deeply regretted their passing. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the deceased was passed, members standing in silence. MARTON. At the annual meeting of the Marton Bowling Club reference was made to the death of the late Mr. Harry Sutcliffe, sent'., who was one of the early members and champion of the club for many years. The president stated that the club had forwarded a wreath depicting a bowling green, and a number of members had attended the funeral. A motion of sympathy was accorded the relatives of the late Mr. Sutcliffe in silence.
