(Press Assn.) Auckland, Aug. 11. Pukekohe onions have registered another seasonal advance since last Monday, to-day’s price being 15s per cwt. on rail, Pukekohe, a rise of Is since last Monday. Cauliflowers have risen 2s a Chapman bag to 8s 6d, Savoy cabbages are up Is to 9s, and Drumhead cabbages are up .Is 6d to 9s 6d. Carrots are 6d a sugar bag more, to-day's rate being 5s 6d. Beetroot remains at 5s and swede turnips round about 4s 6d. Pumpkins are also still at 9s per cwt. Onion plants are at 4s 6d and 5s 6d a thousand ,in bundles of 100, cabbage and cauliflower plants at 8s a thousand, lettuce plants at 9s a thousand, and yearling barberry plants at 25s 6d a thousand. Some parsnips went away -to-day at 10s a sugar bag. but the outlook for supplies of parsnips for the remainder of the week is not good. There is a strong demand for practically all the lines of vegetables available.
