FIRST AID EXAMINATION IN WAITOTARA
HUNDRED PER CENT. PASS I After a recent Home Guard parade (held in Waitotara, onpertunity wa> [taken to present certificates to successful candidates in St. John first aid examinations. Officer M Donald, of Wanganui, presented the certificates and congratulated the ciass on the splendid performance of l'>o per cent pass, every member being successful. Lieutenant Sheppard. D.C.M.. O.C I of the battalion, addressed the parade 'and congratulated the members of Officer McDonald’s class on their I enterprise in going in foi the ambu- | lance and first aid instructions, and also on each candidate qualifying for a certificate. He also congratulated Mr. McDonald on the results obtained. Mr. Wadsworth presented M’\ McDonald with a handsome chiming clock from members of the class as a mark of appreciation for al] he ha’, done for it. Mr. McDonald suitably replied. The ladies, whose classes in first aid had been held in conjunction with the men’s class, were also very successful. Nineteen sat for the examination and all passed. Mirs M. Fiveman (Wanganui St. John Ambulance) presented the certificates and congratulated each candidate. Members of the class made a presentation to Miss Freeman. Doctor Mollie Christie, Wanganui, was the examiner.
