RETURNING SOLDIERS
RECEPTION AND CARE IN WANGANUI CITY PATRIOTIC, R.S.A. AND RED CROSS CONFER Yesterday, a meeting, attended by members 'of the Wanganui City i Patriotic Committee, the Returnc i Soldiers’ Association and Red Cross Society, was held to discuss the reception and care of soldiers and mon from the other armed forces returning from the war to Wanganui. It was decided to recommend to the Patriotic Committee that the duties should, as far as possible, be carried out without duplication. Both the R.S.A. and the society agreed to cooperate with the Patriotic Committee.
Those present at the meeting were: Messrs. H. M. Kcesing (in the chair), F. H. Bethwaite, N. R. Bain and T. S. Russell (representing the Patriotic Committee), R. G. Taiboys and F. G. Seddon (Wanganui R.S.A.) and R. L. Garden, secretary of the Wanganui Centre of the of the Red Cross.
