KIRKCALDIE AND STAINS, LTD. Kirkcaldie and Stains, Ltd., drapers and importers, Wellington, earned a net profit of £14,301 in the year ended February 25, against £13,140 in 193940. No dividends were paid, “in view of the disturbed trading conditions created by the war, and the heavy demands on the company's funds for taxation.” COMMERCIAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA The Commercial Bank of Australia. Ltd., earned a net profit of £258,110 for the vear ended June 30. compared with £264,157 in 1940. As already anI nounced, the year's dividends are unchanged at 4 per cent, per annum on preference shares (final 2 per cent.), ' and 7 1-12 per cent, on ordinary shares (final 32 per cent.). A sum of £35,000 I is written off bank premises, the total • appropriations reducing the floating ' balance to £115,455. RADIO (1936) LTD., DIVIDEND The net profit of Radio (1936) Ltd., was £lBO lower at £6718 for the year ended June 30. The income from dividend from other companies was £133. The directors propose an unchanged dividend of Is a share, absorbing ' £5OBO. Extra taxes for 1940 require £649 and £647 is added to the reserve for leasehold redemption, leaving £5819 to be carried forward against £5344 brought in. COMMERCIAL BANK OF SYDNEY The Commercial Banking Company • of Sydney, Ltd., has advised the Stock ' Exchange’ Association that the bal-ance-sheet and accounts and the direc- • tors’ report for presentation to shares holders on August 12 has been issued. The directors recommend a dividend • at the rate of 11 per cent, per annum ' for the past half-year. : The interim dividend was at the ’ same rate, making 71 per cent, for the year.

K.D.V. BOXES DIVIDEND K.D.V. Boxes, Ltd., Auckland, has advised the Stock Exchange Association that the directors recommend that a dividend (final) of 4 per cent, for the year be paid on August 28. The share register will be closed from August 18 to September 1, both days inclusive.
