COUNTERFEIT CIGARETTES
FILLED WITH SAWDUST SOLD IN SYDNEY (Recd. 8.40 p.m.) Sydney, Aug. 10. Thousands of sawdust-filled cigarettes have been bought by Sydney shops and hotels and sold to customers in the past few weeks. The cigarettes are almost perfect counterfeits of a well-known brand. Tins, showing no trace of previous use, are wrapped in cellophane to make them look genuine. Salesmen offered the counterfeit cigarettes at a little below the normal mice.—U.P.A.
