BATTLE AG UNST ENEMIES “THIS IS NO LONGER A FOREIGN WAR.” (Recd. 6.30 p.m.) Chicago, Aug. 9. Declaring that the European war is nb longer a "foreign war," Mr. William Green, president of the American Federation ot Labour, enjoined trade unionists to hew a great battleline against the enemies of the nation. There was no longer any doubt, he said, that the aim of foreign dictators was to gain control of al democratic countries. “When our liberties are threatened —.whether the menace appears from across the waters or within our own boundaries-the trade unionists of America will be in the forefront of those reach- to defend the country and its institutions," he declared—U.P.A.
