DECREASE IN MARRIAGES AND BIRTHS
STATISTICS IN WANGANUI SLIGHT INC REASE IN DEATHS During Ibe first seven rtionlhs of this year, Ihe number of births in Wanganui decreased by 35, compared with lhe same period last year. Deaths increased by 16, and marriages decreased by 15. Births registered in Wanganui this year total 370, and there have been 198 deaths and 179 marriages. Last year’s figures for tht same period are 405. 182 and 194 respectively. There was one birth fewer last month than in July last year, six more deaths and 13 fewer marriages. Details:—
