BLASTING IN PROGRESS COFFIN TAKEN TO QCILTNEt'S OI CATHEDRAL (Press Assn > Auckland. July 31. To ensure that the body of the lai' Rl. Hon. M. J. Savage, fin mcr Prime Minister, should not eb disturbed by rock-blasting operations nt Bastion Point, Orakei, necessitated by the formation of a permanent, memorial, the coffin, which was entombed in an old-time ammunition vault, has been removed to St. Patrick's Cathedral. it will rest in the church until the tomb on Bastion Point has been finished. The casket was removed to th" cathedral in the quietest manner under the supervision of the Department. of Internal Affairs and was received by the cathedral administrator. It was placed in a tiny sacristy on the north side of the sanctuary. The sacristy was then sealed.
