SOVIET’S POWER IN ASIA “CANNOT SIT WITH FOLDED ARMS AND SEE FREE HAND.” London, May 13. “Japan cannot sit with folded arms if Russia is given a free hand in Asia in return for concessions from Germany,” states a Japanese commentator. Vichy, May 12. Diplomatic circles have reported that meetings between Hitler, Mussolini and Stalin are considered likely in the near future in connection with the possible re-organisation of European economics, if not a European military bloc, resulting in far-reaching moves throughout Europe, including a shakeup of the Spanish civil and military organisation. —U.P.A.
