VISIT OF MINISTER
TEACHERS’ REFRESHER COURSE SATISFACTION EXPRESSED The Minister of Education, Hon. H. G. R. Mason, and the Director of Education. Dr. C. E. Beeby, were visitors to Wanganui yesterday, when they attended and addressed the refresher course for teachers, which is being held in Wanganui. The party was welcomed by the Mayor. Hon. W. ■I. Rogers, M.L.C. There were present Messrs. G. S. Gordon (chairman of the Girls' College Board of Governors'!. Mr. N. Annabell (Education Board member), G. N. Boulton (secretary of the Education Board), and B. N. T. Blake (senior inspector of school", Wanganui Education Board district). Both the Hon. Mason and Dr. Beeby expressed pleasure at the large number of teachers attending the course. It spoke well for their enthusiasm for their profession. The organisers were congratulated on the excellent arrangements for th" course.
