SPORTS MEETING SOON A spoilt meeting, arranged by the River Settlers’ Sports Club, is to be held on Mr. J. J. Lissett's property, Parikino, next Saturday’ week (March 8). Halt the proceeds are to be devoted to the patriotic funds. Parikino is 14 miles from Wanganui by metal road and the sports ground is ideal for picnic parties. More than £lOO is to be paid away in prize money. Horse jumping and wood-chopping will be featured. •••••••••••••••■•••••«••••
