DAILY INTERCESSION
I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord; thoughts of peace and not of evil. Then shall ye call upon me,, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. (Read Psalm xcix.) Almighty and everlasting God, we praise Thee for all that Thou
has done for us as a nation. Thou hast gathered us into a great people and hast abundantly blessed us. Deepen the root of our national life in everlasting righteousness, lest Thy blessing be withdrawn. Make us equal to our high trusts, reverent in the use of freedom, just in the exercise of power, and generous in the protection of weakness. Abundantly bless Thy servant, our King, and every member of the royal house. Inspire the men who direct the State, that they may guide it wisely and well. Give insight and faithfulness to our Government and legislators that our laws may clearly speak the right and our judges purely interpret it; and may our deepest trust ever be in Thee, the Lord of nations and the King of kings. Amen.
