TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
CASTLECLIFF MEMBERS MEET There was a good attendance of members at the February meeting of the Castlecliff Townswomen's Guild held on Tuesday afternoon in the Castlecliff Hall. Mrs. Anthony precided. Apologies were received from Mesdames Wagstaff, Taylor and Neal. Proceedings opened with the National Anthem, followed by the business session. The enjoyable programme included two songs delightfully sung by Mrs. Martin, the accompanist being Mrs. Norman, who also contributed two pianoforte solos. Both performers were heartily applauded and they were presented with shoulder sprays. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Mackay and Warner. The concluding item was an interesting talk on Scotland given by Miss Sampson, enumerating literature, history and geographical attributes of beautiful Scotland. The speaker, on conclusion, was given a hearty vote of thanks and presented with a shoulder spray. The shoulder sprays which were presented, were made and donated by Mrs. Warner.
