PATRIOTIC DANCE. (Own Correspondent.) The Women's Institute held a successful dance in aid of the fighting forces comforts fund, and the money raised will be used for providing more woollen garments lor the minesweepers and also for the parcels which the institute sends overseas. Mr. H. J. Fagan, on behalf of the institute, thanked all who had contributed to such a successful evening. The institute, he said, had done great work in the past as it had sent some 50 parcels away, and two large boxes, valued at £5O, to a minesweeper in the North Sea. Every five weeks parcels have been sent to local boys w’ho had left the district and each time a quota is called for, seven from Sanson and two from Ohakea are sent. With the support of the public the. institute hoped to do the same this coming year.
