HAND RIVETING ELIMINATED
AEROPLANE BUILDING REVOLUTIONARY PROCESS DETROIT, Feb. 6. Defence officials were astonished at a revolutionary machine riveting process under experiment enabling the elimination of hand riveting of aircraft. The new process cuts the time of labour by 50 per cent., eliminating the greatest aircraft bottleneck.
The system was tested under a close guard, watched only by army and defence commission experts.
