ROYAL CHORUS AT GORE

BRIGHT FUTURE PREDICTED One of the likeliest improvers seen out during the holidays was th" Nigger Minstrel gelding Royal Chorus, and a bright future is predicted fox him. When making his first appearances with the colours up at the re cent Southland meeting, he was re sponsible for two impressive displays to come from a good way back to secure fourth place each day, and has his run not been delayed it is probable that he would have been return ed a winner. He has progressed satisfactorily in the meantime, and he should not be long in opening his wininng account. He is engaged al Gore to-day, and as the class is by no means strong he should have his opportunity. Royal Chorus is a splendid type of gelding out of the Balboa mare Queen Balboa, a fine performer in the Southland district about a decade ago, included among her many successes being the Dunedin Cup in 1929.
