RESULT OF ENEMY AIR ATTACK LOSSES OF MERCHANT SHIPPING [ British Official Wireless. J RUGBY, Aug. 13. The Admiralty announces that H.M. mine-sweeping trawlers Tamarisk and Pyrope suffered damage as a result oi an enemy air attack and subsequently sank. Mercantile shipping losses for the week ended August 4 totalled 75,124 tons, of which the British lost 60,058 tons, compared with the German claim to have sunk 232,743 tons. German and Italian losses to August 12 totalled 923,000 tons and 259,000 tons respectively, also 29,500 formerly neutral and now under enemy control. British losses were slightly above the average.
