RABBITSKIN SALE

IRREGULAR MARKET DUNEDIN, Aug. 13. At to-day's rabbitskin auction an approximate offering of 70 tons was suomitted before a large attendance of exporters, furriers and the local trade. A very irregular market was met with, prices for Ducks receding on the average 6d to Is, does at par to 3d easier, and all other descriptions easier. It was noticeable about halfway through the sale that values for bucks were lower, as several exporters had filled their orders. Taking into consideration the quality of the skins on offer (which are now going off rapidly), prices to-day must be considered satisfactory. Values have kept up remarkably well throughout the season, trapping being a payable proposition.
