NAZI TROOPS
REPORTED MASSING IN OCCUPIED FRANCE NEW YORK, July 30. A correspondent of the Columbia Broadcasting System reports the heavy massing of German troops in Nazi-occupied France, moving only under cover of darkness. The Germans are mobilising tremendous numbers towards the French coast from Marseilles to the Belgian ports. SWISS FRONTIER CLOSED ACTION TAKEN BY GERMANY BASLE, July 30. Germany has closed aJI Swiss road and rail frontier posts except St. Margarethen, which is on the old Austrian. frontier.
