EASTER HOLIDAY FIXTURE GALTEEMORE SCRATCHED FOR CUP The Easter meeting of the Feildin fo Jockey Club, to be held on Saturday and Monday, provides a popular rendezvous for holiday racegoers, fo* it is the clubs principal fixture of the season. Fields in the B eliding Cup and the Mangaone Handicap are ot good class, and with wuli-hlltd hath events to complete the programme there should be some interesting contests. The Feilding course U well situated in the centre of a race-going district, and the facilities for car-parking compare more than favourably with many of the larger clubs. Improvements l« the ground recently completed include a ramp, capable of accommodating 600 spectators, between the tolalisator and the lawn rails. Facilities for making investments are also provided m the members’ stand. Only one bracket figures on the race-card, Vadanoe and Colibri being bracketed in the Onepuiri Hack Handicap. The secretary, Mr. E. G. Goodbehere, advised yesterday that Galteemore had been scratched for the Fending Cup at 3 p.m., at which time Ruling Star had been withdrawn from the Kawa Kawa Highweight.
