"I i am perfectly sure that Britain is as i right as she has ever been and that : the working class, which has always ; been ready to resist tyranny, is as ; right as ever and ready to resist 1 the tyranny that threatens.” He said the Allies were lighting to j clear the ground for the future. The • war was a war for liberty, liberty for i the German peoples as well as others. He had visited Germany, learned thi? ; German language, and knew thou- ■ sands of Germans who wanted liberty. ; All peace-loving people must have a say in the making of peace, said Mr. : Grenfell, because it was not a small ■ job to put the world right. An at- ■ tempt had been made after the last • war to do that, but it failed. There ; was no reason why it should not sue- j ceed in tne future and it would sue- > ceed if the people who wanted free- j dom could secure the right to it by i breaking down the German idea. ! The Allies would win and the time j would come when the people of Ger-1 many would realise that no man was ■ infallible and that aggression was ; wrong. "Then we will work with all | the people of the world and men will employ their understanding to the building of a system of security and safety for mankind.”
