“BULLDOG DRUMMONDS BRIDE” AND “THE ARKANSAS TRAVELLER” John Howard, as the noted amateur sleuth, “Bulldog Drummond”; Heather Angel, as the lovely “Phyllis Clavering” who is making a final desperate attempt to marry him; H. Clive, Elizabeth Patterson in familiar supporting roles, and Eduardo Ciannelli are the top members ol the cast of the new Paramount thriller, “Bull dog Drummond’s Bride,” which will conclude to-day at the Regent Theatre. A romance between the daughter of a small town newspaper owner and the scapegrace son of the local iftayor forms the love story of “The Arkansas Traveller,” Paramount’s home town drama, which is the associate feature. John Beal, Bob Burns and Jean Parker are starred. “Hawaiian Nights” and “Gaunt Stranger” Four catchy new song hits are to be introduced by Constance Moore and Mary Carlisle in “Hawiian Nights,” Universal’s musical drama of the south seas, coming to-morrow to the Regent Theatre. Johnny Downs. Eddie Quillan, Princess Luana are also featured with the popular radio and recording orchestras of Matty Malneck and the native string band of Sol Hoopii.
