FREIGHTERS COLLIDE
ACCIDENT IN FOG Received Dec. 8, 9.5 p.m. OTTAWA. Dec. 7. The British steamers Manchester Regiment and Oropesa collided in a fog off the Nova Scotian coast. The former was abandoned and nine are missing. The latter suffered slight damage. The Oropesa carried the crew of the freighter Chancellor, which sank in a collision with the Athel Chief on December 2.
