NOT RESIGNING
BRITISH DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF PUBLIC ITY STATEMENT IN COMMONS LONDON, Dec. 7. The Home Secretary, Sir John Anderson, announced in the House of Commons that the Director-General of the Bureau of Publicity, Sir Walter Monckton, is not resigning. The Daily Telegraph and MorningPost had stated that Sir Walter Monckton had informed the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, that he would resign unless he was given adequate powers 1o collect the nows for which the newspapers and the public were
