DUCHESS THEATRE
“The Last Gangster," screening tonight at the Duchess Theatre, concerns the activities of America's public enemy No. 1, Joe Krozac, played by Edward G. Robinson. Rose Stradner has the role of Krozac's beautiful wife who finally discovers what kind of a man she married and so leaves him to marry a reporter, James Stewart, who has been kind to her. Krozac is gaoled for ten years and when he is free his one thought is to kill his former wife, their son, and the man who had taken her from him. Little Douglas Scott plays the part of the gangster's son. who has no love at all for his father. Others in the cast include Lionel Standee and Jack Carradine.
