DOMINIONS’ DELEGATES

ROYAL DINNER PARTY LONDON, Nov, JO. The King gave a dinner party at Buckingham Palace on November 7 to the delegates from the Dominions and India now' in London. The Queen was present, and the visiting statesmen were accompanied by their wives. The King and the men guests wore dinner jackets. The guests, numbering nearly 30, included the Prime Minister and Mrs. Chamberlain, Mr. Eden, Dominions Secretary, and Mrs. Eden, and the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The Duchess of Gloucester travelled to London from the country to be present. There were no speeches. During the morning a private meeting of study committees of the Empire Parliamentary Association was held in the rooms of the association, Westminster Hall, when Mr. Peter Fraser delivered an address upon “The Co-operation of New Zealand in the Joint War Effort." The Rt. Hon. C. R. Attlee, M.P., Leader of the Opposition. was in the chair, and members of all parties in both Houses were present. At the conclusion of the address several questions were put to Mr. Fraser and answered by him. A vote c* thanks was proposed by Viscount Bledisloe, seconded by Mr. Hugh Dalton, M.P., and carried with enthusiasm. Lord Strabolgi was host at luncheon in the House. *
