OBITUARY

MR. W. C. WASHER The death occurred suddenly of a visitor to Gisborne, Mr. William Charles Washer, aged 67, single, at the home of his sister, Mrs. E. 11. Havers. Mr. Washer was a retired farmer from the Horotiu district and had been in Gisborne for the past three months. He was found dead in bed at 7.30 a.m. to-day. MRS. I . A. SC HERER The death has occurred in Hamilton of Mrs. Fredieka Amalia Scherer, aged 73. Mrs. Scherer was born in East Prussia, and came to New Zealand with her parents as a child. The family settled in Taranaki, where Mrs. Scherer was married. Some 30 years ago Mrs. Scherer moved to the Waikato, and for the last 15 years she had lived in Hamilton. She is survived by four sons and four daughters. There are 20 grandchildren.
