OUTWARD CARGO
NEED FOR STORAGE SPACE MANUFACTURER’S REQUEST. The need for accommodation on lh° Wanganui -wharves for the reception of goods for shipment on coastal vessels was stressed by Mr. J. B. Gilberd, at last night’s meeting of the executive ot Ihe Wanganui Chamber of Commerce. The matter was referred to the Shipping and Imports Committee for consideration. Mr. Gilberd said that there was no facilities for the storage ot goods when the weather was inclement. The sheds were usually too busy to handle the cargo and a reception similar to those provided in other places was required. He had had a considerable quantity of goods damaged by the weather from time to time while lying on the wharf awaiting shipment.
