MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MISCELLANEOUS CASES The following cases were dealt with by Mr. A. Coleman, S.M., in the Magistrate s Court al. Wanganui yesterday:— For parking a motor-car on the offside of another motor vehicle in the Avenue. Allan Stoneman was fined 10s, with costs 10s. On a charge of parking a car on the angle in the Avenue, Ernest James Blair was fined 10s, with costs 10s. For failing to give way to the right, Darcy Winwood was fined fl, with costs 18s. Charged on the information of the Inspector of Weights and Measures, H. A. Gatward, with using for trade weighing an instrument of 201bs. capacity which was unstamped, W, B. Scott and Co., butchers were fined fl 10s with costs 12s. Mr. R. Withers, who appeared for the defence, said that something had dropped out of the scales. They weighed all right up to 201b5., and in the shop it was not necessary to weigh parcels of meat heavier than that.
Clifford Henry Anderson, who was found on licensed premises of the Metropolitan Hotel after hours, was fined f2, with costs 10s.
