Inter-dub Games

The following decisions were made concerning inter-club games for the 1939-40 season: - 1. That the Taumarunui Shield and Thompson Banner matches be eliminated for the 1939-40 season. 2. That the Rangitikei Shield competition be played with a minimum ol live rinks, learns to be selected from mixed senior ami junior players and the aggregate points to decide the winner. 3. That the Curtis Cut* and Walsh Cup competitions be played with three bowls to each player. 4. The competitions for the Avon Cup and Webb Bowl be played under the same conditions as last year. 5. That in view of the existing restrictions the Ohakune and Raetihi Clubs consent lo the use of their greens lor competition matches between Taumarunui and Taihape Clubs. 6. Thai lite Lynch "Digger Shield'' be played as was done last year. Programme of Competitions The following programme of competitions for the 19.39-40 season was adopted: November 19.—Taumarunui v. Ohakune. at Taumarunui; Taihape v. Raetihi, at Taihape. December 10.—Taumarunui v. Taihape. at Raetihi; Raetihi v. Ohakune, at Ohakune. January 14.—Taumarunui v. Raetihi, at Raetihi; Taihape v. Ohakune, at Taihape. January 28.—Taumarunui v. Taihape, at Ohakune; Ohakune v. Raetihi. at .Raetihi, February 11.—Taumarunui v. Raetihi, at Taumarunui; Taihape v. Ohakune, at Ohakune. February 25.—Taumarunui v. Ohakune; Taihape v. Raetihi, at Raetihi. March 10.—Avon Cup and Webb Bowl at Ohakune: Curtis and Walsh Cups al Raetihi; champion of champion; singles.
