BONUS ISSUE QUOTA NOT AFFECTED Peters American Delicacy Co., LtdSydney, has made a call ot 4s 8d per share upon distributing shares, on which 4.s 8d had been paid. The calls are to be made in two instalments of 2s 4d each, payable respectively on December 1, 1939, and January 1, 1940. Shareholders may pay the full amount of the call on the first date, in which case the shares will rank for dividend purposes as paid to 9s 4d as from December 1. The directors state that payment of the call does not affect the quota of bonus shares allotted to each shareholder who was no the register on September 3, 1937, in accordance with the resolutions of the company on September 14, 1937. The quota, in terms of the motion, is computed according to he amount paid up on the issue shares as at September 3, 1937. Conditions o£ the agreement between shareholders, by which the later who were plaintiffs in an appeal to the Privy Council, undertook to abandon the appeal, provided that, immediately after the issue of the bonus shares, a call of 4s 8d on the contributing shares would be made. All costs and expenses of the litigation were to be paid by the company.
