LARGE DECREASE IN PROFIT United Provisions, Ltd., for the year ended September 30, shows a profit of £57,021, compared with £70,833 in the previous year. The combined accounts of United Provisions and its subsidiaries show a profit of £57,490, compared with £68,496 last year. Ordinary dividend of 3 per cent, (unchanged ) and preference dividend of 8 per cent, require in all £64,500, leaving £l4O to be carried forward, compared with £7619 brought into the accounts. Dividends credited by the trading companies to United Provisions amounted lo £57,931, compared with £71,701 in the year before. A consolidated statement of assets and liabilities of the company and its subsidiaries shows current liabilities of £233,578, against which ther/ are current assets of £617,330.
