BELGIUM LIGHTS UP
RESTRICTIONS REMOVED. (Air Mail.) LONDON, Sept. 25. Belgium has decided that blackouts do not safeguard her neutrality, reports the Daily Herald's Brussels correspondent. Instead she is to try a lavish “lightup.” All towns, ports and arterial roads are to be illuminated by night. Huge letters “B,” visible for great heights, are to be painted on all available spaces on the frontiers to guide belligerent aircraft by day. To-day’s cheerful news here is that Burgomaster Max has decided to reopen cafes and restaurants. From to-morrow they will be open from three a.m. to 10 p.m., except on Sunday, when exisiting restrictions will operate. | These restrictions have considerably inconvenienced the public and angered the city’s cafe proprietors.
