CENTRAL DIVISION NOTES The Central Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade is still maintaining a veiy busy period in all departments. The first aid class being held in the | ambulance hail is now hail way through its course. The keenness ana aptituoe of the students is commencable. A full muster has been register-I ed at every practice and much; valuable work accomplished. The next j lecture will be given by Dr. Kenrick i Christie on Monday night next at 8' o’clock. That the knowledge gained by a ■ study of first aid may prove of great ; service at all times has been very j forcibly brought to mind by the recent poisoning case in ‘ There can be no doubt that at least ; some of the young men concerned owe their lives to toe trained practical ' skill of the member of the St. John i Ambulance Brigade who so oppor- ' tunely appeared on the scene. We are greatly indebted to Mr. T. : Luff, captain ot the Castlecliff Suit; Club, and his te«m ot helpers, wno I have so kindly attended the classes io I give practical instruction in artificial I respiration and resuscitation.
