A small com- - mittee of institute ladies was resposi: sible for the management of the function and to them goes the credit ?, of the very successful evening. Vith a hall filled and many others in another room playing cards, the - function did not lack a dull moment, those on the dancing floor being kept busy with almost continuous dancing. The music was in the very capable hands of J. Ashton and his band, and during the evening extras were contributed by Miss Franke, Miss Bush • and several members of the band. Txovelty dances were included on the programme and the spot waltz a was won by Miss McDonald and part- :° ner and the Monte Carlo by Miss Wasson and partner. A competition was won by Mr. F.
